Royal Northern College of Music
Here at mez, we’ve lots to look forward to with Zone’s National Festival of Music Education, musiclearninglive!2010, running from 25-26 February at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. Places are still available with discounts offered to a wide range of organisations and a special Primary conference-with-a-conference aimed at teachers who may not be able to attend for the full two days.
As well as a huge range of hands-on workshops, debates, presentations, case studies, performances and demonstrations, musiclearninglive! is hosting a repeat of last year’s “Question Time” in which BBC and Guardian journalist Tom Service will head up a distinguished panel of leading policy and strategic experts including former Music Manifesto Champion, Marc Jaffrey, who received an OBE for services to music education in the 2010 New Years Honours list.
